A 34-year-old man was killed after a tyre he was inflating burst at garage at Parel near Sultanpur locality of Chamba town. The victim, identified as Rakesh Kumar (34), a resident of village Chhmairi (Chameenu), sustained critical injuries in the blast. He was immediately rushed to Pt Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College, Chamba, for treatment, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The police have conducted the post-mortem and handed over the body to the family. An investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident. Authorities suspect that excessive air pressure during inflation may have triggered the tyre explosion.
