To combat the rising menace of drug abuse, ‘The Idea of India Foundation’, a local NGO, has launched a 10-day anti-drug mass awareness campaign across gram panchayats in Nurpur development block. Rahul Sharma, president of the Foundation, stated that seminars are being organized under the slogan: “Drug addiction; not only a person, weakens whole society.” The objective is to raise awareness among youth, parents, and society about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to curb its growing prevalence. At a programme held in Chhatroli, Foundation members addressed a large rural gathering, shedding light on the dangers of drug intoxication. They shared practical tips to help protect youth from addiction and urged collective community action.
