As many as 102 registered health workers (around 72 per cent) turned up to get the Covid-19 vaccine at two centres in Sirmaur district on the second day of the vaccination drive today.

Deputy Commissioner, Sirmaur, RK Pruthi said that only 46 of 74 registered workers turned up at the Civil Hospital, Sarahan, while 56 of 63 registered health staffers were vaccinated at the public health centre at Rampur Bharapur. A total of 102 of 137 registered health staffers were vaccinated.

In the first phase of the vaccination drive conducted on January 16, around 50 per cent health workers had come forward for vaccination. As many as 3,100 health staffers are to be vaccinated in the district in the first phase.
