The Kangra police today challaned 114 persons for violating curfew norms.

Kangra Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Sunil Rana said that 63 persons were challaned in Kangra town and 34 at Nagrota Bagwan during curfew relaxation from 8 am to 12 noon.

Rana said that 17 persons were challaned at Gaggal for violating the curfew while the police registered a case against a teashop vendor under Sections 188, 269 and 270 of the IPC at Gaggal town. The teashop vendor was not allowed to open his shop during curfew relaxation, he added.

He said that vehicles were not permitted to ply during curfew relaxation and only one member of a family could visit the nearest shop on foot to collect the required things.
