Fifteen passengers were injured when the Punjab Roadways bus they were travelling in rammed into the rear side of a utility vehicle while trying to overtake it near Sanwara toll plaza on Friday morning.

SP Solan Gaurav Singh said the bus was being driven in a rash and negligent manner.

There were about 25 passengers in the bus which was en route to Shimla from Chandigarh. While 13 passengers were taken to Dharampur hospital for treatment, two of them were referred to the Regional Hospital, Solan.

The driver, identified as Gurjeet Singh (35) hailing from Tarantaran, has been arrested. A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered against the bus driver and further probe is under way, the SP said.
