18 teams participate in Shivaratri football tournament in Mandi

The tournament — which features competitions in three categories: U-15, women’s football, and senior football — was inaugurated by Mandi ADC Rohit Rathour. DSP Headquarters Dinesh Kumar and IPS officer C Ravichandran were also present on the occasion.
A total of 18 teams, including senior, junior, and women’s teams, are participating in the event. The first match was held between the Under-15 teams of Greenland Mandi and Sejal Club Sundernagar, with Greenland Mandi emerging victorious with a 3-0 score line. All three goals were scored by Nutan.
In the second match, Bhupender Club Sundernagar faced Hattgad, and it was a one-sided affair, with Sundernagar winning 10-0. The Under-15 category final was between Greenland Mandi and Bhupender Club Sundernagar, with the latter winning in a thrilling penalty shootout.
Football association officials, including Praveen Sharma, Jagdish Raja, Rajkumar Chirag and Kamal Kishore, were also present at the event to oversee the proceedings.
