Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal on Thursday said the government would provide one-time housing to left-out eligible families under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. In a press statement, the DC said a survey of deprived families was conducted in 2018 through the Awas Plus app, based on which houses were allocated to eligible families in Chamba district.

He said approximately 18,000 families in the district were yet to get houses under the scheme. The registration process for eligible families had already begun across the district. Repaswal urged all eligible families to visit their respective Panchayat or development block and complete their registration. The registration process will continue till September 11.
