Mandi: The police arrested one person and seized 2.1 kg of charas from his possession in Mandi district on Saturday. Govardhan Singh, a native of Chachyot village in Mandi district, was travelling in a car when the police on patrolling duty stopped him at Gutkar in Balh and seized the contraband. SP Shalini Agnihotri said that the accused had been arrested under the NDPS Act. TNS

Online workshop held on forensic medicine

Chamba: A daylong online forensic medicine prospective workshop was organised at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Government Medical College (PJNGMC), in which local MLA Pawan Nayyar was the chief guest. Doctors from Delhi, America, Canada and Cyprus also joined the workshop. The MLA said it was for the first time that an international workshop was organised at PJNGMC, Chamba. He also released the International Journal of Ethics, Trauma and Victimology on the occasion. TNS
