2 arrested with 73 boxes of liquor in Nurpur

A team of state taxes and excise department, Nurpur excise circle, yesterday stopped a Bolero jeep (HP37H-0733) at Bassa under Nurpur police station jurisdiction and recovered 73 boxes of country made liquor. The liquor consignment was being transported illegally in the area in the jeep by Amit Kumar and Kewal Singh, residents of Bhanala in Shahpur (Kangra district).

The accused have been arrested and a case under section 39(1) HP Excise Act registered against them. The police investigation is underway.
