The police arrested two youths with 73.9 gram heroin in the district yesterday.

Accused Aman Patiyal of Manvana village was held with 3.21 gram heroin. He was running the illicit trade from his rented room at Tvambda village. On a tip-off, the police raided his rented house and seized the contraband. The accused was arrested under the NDPS Act.

In another case, the police arrested Viredner Kumar alias Bablu of Ropari village. The accused was traveling in a car in Balh. During checking, the police seized 70.69 gram heroin from him.

Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri said both accused were active in heroin smuggling in Mandi district.
