Jayesh Thakur and Samarth Gupta from Auckland House School for Boys have qualified for the State-Level Chess Championship after excelling at the District Shimla Open Chess Championship 2025, held at Nangal Devi, Theog.

Organised by the District Shimla Chess Association, the event saw participation from nearly 100 players. Jayesh clinched gold in the Under-13 category, while Samarth earned silver in the Under-17 category. Their achievement highlights their strategic acumen and dedication to the sport. Reuben T.
