2 elderly jhuggi dwellers arrested with marijuana in Parwanoo
Parwanoo police arrested two elderly residents of a jhuggi for possessing 434 grams of marijuana during a patrol in the Taksaal area near Kali Mitti on Sunday evening.
The accused are Rajwanti (62), a local resident, and Lalu Prasad (70), a migrant from Ghosi Tehsil in Uttar Pradesh.
SP Solan, Gaurav Singh, informed that 434 grams of ganja (97 grams and 337 grams, respectively, and Rs 7,000 in cash were recovered from the two.
They have been booked under Section 20 of the NDPS Act. Their previous criminal records are also being probed. Notably, jhuggi dwellers have previously been found involved in drug peddling in the Parwanoo area.
