Section Leader Asha Kumari of the 3rd Battalion joined as a volunteer in 1991 and has served for 34 years, mainly in the State Headquarters training branch. Known for her meticulous record-keeping, she has improved departmental transparency and efficiency. She has handled VVIP security, election duties, and sensitive law-and-order assignments with professionalism and integrity, also managing court-related cases with competence.
Honorary Platoon Commander Rajneesh Katoch of the 7th Battalion, Kullu, enrolled in 1992 and is trained in firefighting, leadership, and disaster management. He has led rescue efforts during cloudbursts in Chagh Nallah and Manikaran Valley, as well as in challenging terrains like Himri Pass. His contributions to national parades, community disaster risk management, and blood donation drives have earned him multiple commendations, including the DG’s Commendation Certificate in 2023.
