Two migrant youth died in Baddi after consuming a cold drink allegedly laced with some intoxicant on Sunday evening.

After consuming the cold drink, they felt unwell and unduly hot following which they took bath. They were then rushed to a hospital at Baddi where they were declared dead. They have been identified as Arvind (20) and Girish (18). Both cousins, they hailed from Badau area of Uttar Pradesh and were working as labourers at a company at Jharmajri.

Additional SP Baddi Ashok Verma said that inquest proceedings were being carried out under section 194 of the BNS. Their post-mortem examination was conducted at Nalagarh today. The cause of the death would be ascertained after receipt of the report. Besides, chemical analysis of their viscera would also be undertaken at forensic science laboratory, Junga, to know the cause of the death.
