Two persons have been arrested with around 40 gram of ‘chitta’ (heroin) from the Rampur subdivision in Shimla district, the police said here today. The accused have been identified as Hitesh Thakur (30), a resident of Dhar village in Rampur, and Kailash (40), a resident of Koti village in Rampur.

According to reports, the police received a tip-off that certain individuals, carrying ‘chitta’, were on their way to Rampur from Shimla in a bus. Taking a prompt action, a police team from Rampur intercepted the bus at Patbangla in Rampur. During the checking, the police found the contraband from their possession after which both of them were arrested.
