The Panchrukhi police arrested two Russian nationals after seizing 103 grams of charas from their possession. A case has been registered under Section 21 of the NDPS Act and Section 14 of the Foreigners Act at Panchrukhi Police Station. The police are scrutinising their passports, visas and travel documents to verify the legality of their stay in India. Meanwhile, the Kangra police, under the newly appointed SP Ashok Ratten, have launched an intensive campaign against drug trafficking. In just one week, six NDPS cases have been registered in different police stations across the district, leading to several arrests, signalling a tough stance on drug peddlers.
