As many as 20 villages in six gram panchayats are no more hotspots in the district as District Magistrate Harikesh Meena denotified these as containment zones yesterday.

The villages were declared containment zones after some residents of the panchayats had tested coronavirus positive. There are 107 positive persons in the district while 78 are active, 28 have cured and one has died.

The villages that got relief after being denotified as containment zones include Nauhangi, Kathlali, Naryah, Darbola, Kashmir, Dangri, Gwararu, four wards of Kaswar, Panjhali, Padhar, Majhog, Samela, Chuchmi, Adri and Labhan. Meena said villagers could now enjoy the facilities that were prohibited earlier.
