Twentyfive persons, including seven women, tested positive in Sirmaur district.

RK Pruthi, DC, said 23 persons were from Paonta Sahib and two from Nahan. Seven persons were from the staff of Mankind Pharma, whose one unit had been closed after the detection of positive cases. In Paonta Sahib, cases came from Pipliwala, Friends Colony, Bhatawali, Shamsherpur, Nariwala, Sabjimandi and Kotrivyas areas.

They were the contacts of Power Minister Sukhram Chaudhary. As many as 115 have tested positive in Paonta Sahib.

The DC also notified the general block of Mankind Pharma’s unit 1 as a containment zone at Paonta Sahib after its workers tested positive. He said the recovery rate in the district was 75.04 per cent and there were 147 active cases while 22 recovered today.
