A 30-year-old youth from Jogindernagar youth, who was tested Covid-positive at Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri Government Medical College and Hospital, Nerchowk, here yesterday had come in contact with 27 persons.

The youth along with four other persons had returned to his native place in the Drubal panchayat from Delhi on April 29. Besides, he came in contact with four of his family members and nine health staff, including Asha worker and doctors. He has 10 secondary contacts.

The district health authorities have isolated all his contacts and their samples would be taken for testing.

Meanwhile, the reports of 28 suspected patients is still awaited. Deputy Commissioner, Mandi, Rugved Thakur said, “We are monitoring the situation minutely and all necessary steps have been taken to check the spread of the virus. The Drubal panchayat area has been declared a containment zone, where the movement of people has been restricted”. — TNS
