As many as 295 new cases were reported today, taking the tally to 18,303 while the fatality figure grew up to 255 as five persons succumbed to the virus in the last 24 hours.

While three Covid positive persons died in Kullu, one each passed away in Kangra and Hamirpur. The highest number of 61 cases were reported in Shimla and Mandi each, 26 in Kangra, 25 in Bilaspur, 22 each in Solan and Kullu, 19 in Hamirpur, 16 in Sirmour, 13 in Una and 12 in Chamba.

The total number of active cases in the state today stood at 2,654.

26 test ve in Kangra

As many as 26 persons tested Covid positive while one succumbed to the virus in Kangra district on Thursday. A 74-year-old man from Matyal village in Baijnath died at the Covid Containment Centre in the Dharamsala Zonal Hospital this morning. He was suffering from a coronary heart disease.
