A district-level task force meeting was held in Chamba on Thursday to review preparations for the upcoming Intensive Diarrhoea and Pneumonia Control (IDPC) fortnight. The meeting aimed to strategise efforts to achieve zero mortality due to diarrhoea and pneumonia among children aged 0 to 5 years. Chamba Chief Medical Officer Dr Bipin Thakur stated that the IDPC fortnight will be conducted in three phases this year. The second phase is scheduled for November 18 to December 2. District Health Officer Dr Jalam Bhardwaj said special attention will be given to vulnerable groups, including nomadic families, children at construction sites and migrant communities.
