Three persons, including two schoolkids, were killed on the spot when the vehicle (HP 51 A 1810) they were travelling in fell into a 400-metre gorge at Hori village on the Mehli-Shoghi bypass near Shimla today.

The accident occurred around 4:30 pm. All three occupants of the vehicle were going for a birthday party when the tragedy struck. The villagers informed the police about the mishap.

The deceased have been identified as Anchal of Chhota Shimla, Aastha, of Navbahar and Suraj of Summer Hill. The bodies had been taken to the IGMC, Shimla, for post-mortem, police sources said.
