Shimla, December 20

A total of 33 new Covid cases were reported today, though no death took place in the past 24 hours.

The number of active cases was 454 with the total positive cases till now being 2,28,328. The fatality figure remained at 3,851 with no Covid-related death.

The highest number of nine cases was recorded in Kangra and Hamirpur, followed by five in Mandi, four in Shimla, three in Una, two in Kinnaur and one in Bilaspur.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.
