The police sealed all entry points in Nurpur and Indora in view of the rising number of residents coming to the state.
A naka has been set up at Kandwal inter-state barrier in Nurpur where 36 persons were stopped. Of them, 24 Kashmiri labourers were leaving the state, while 12 persons were coming back to their native places.
Nurpur SDM Surinder Thakur said all 36 persons after their medical examination had been quarantined for 14 days at the isolation centre set up on the premises of Government Senior Secondary School, Kandwal.
He said proper arrangements had been made for boarding and meals for quarantined people. The centre had been sanitised.
The administration has also set up isolation centres at government schools in Sadwan, Rana Farms, Vatika Farms, Mapel Farms and Smarth Palace in Nurpur. — OC
