To provide timely, transparent and efficient services to people, 4.33 lakh cases have been resolved at Revenue Lok Adalats. A government spokesperson said here today that from October 2023 to August 2025, more than 4,33,242 cases were resolved through these Lok Adalats, including 3,60,105 cases of mutation, 22,592 of partition, 39,835 of demarcation and 10,710 cases of correction in revenue records.

“Good governance is essential to address people’s concerns and our government has brought several reforms in the Revenue Department to make processes simpler, more transparent and more convenient for the public,” said Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu.

He added that the state government was giving priority to good governance and for this, Lok Revenue Adalats were being held to settle long-pending revenue cases closer to people’s homes. The aim was to provide timely, transparent and efficient services to people.

He said that these adalats were being held regularly at the sub-tehsil and tehsil level in the state. “This initiative has given a major relief to people by saving them repeated visits to government offices. A special drive was launched on October 30, 2023, and since then, Revenue Lok Adalats are being organised on the last two days of every month. For the first time, revenue cases are being resolved on a mission mode, bringing visible results, he added.

The spokesperson said that the Revenue Lok Adalats had become very popular and a large number of people were benefiting from them. These had not only helped in expediting the disposal of pending cases but also reduced the need for frequent office visits.
