4-star rating for SJVN building
Shimla, June 24
The SJVN corporate headquarters has been awarded four stars by Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment “GRIHA” Council.
SJVN chairman Nand Lal Sharma said the Shakti Sadan was the first building in the state to get this rating. He added the Sadan had been designed on the green building concept. With a built up area of 15,200 sq mt to accommodate over 500 employees, the building has many unique features, including 100 KW solar energy system and 40 KW solar water heating system for energy needs.
“A sewage treatment plant with a capacity to recycle 90,000 litres of waste water has also been installed in the building,” he said.
