Solan, January 13

Three women and a man working in Balmukund Laghu Udyog, a plastic pipe manufacturing industry, in the Chambaghat area of Solan were injured when the compressor machine installed there burst around 3 pm today.

Those injured are Kashmiro Devi (44), Anu (28), Promila (38) and Sandeep Kumar (55). They were rushed to the local Regional Hospital where their condition is stated to be stable.

Additional SP Shiv Kumar Sharma said that a probe was being conducted to know the cause of the blast and expert opinion would also be sought. A case of negligence has been registered against the factory management and further investigation was underway.
