In a bizarre incident, Parshuram Shah (40), a resident of West Champaran district of Bihar, died after getting electrocuted in Parwanoo.

Solan SP Gaurav Singh said an HRTC bus heading towards Shimla from Haridwar reached Shivalik Hotel at Parwanoo around 1 am in the wee hours.

Due to heavy rain and hailstorm, a wire snapped from the electricity pole and got stuck in the tyre of the vehicle. As the bus halted, Shah opened the door and came in touch with the wire.

The police team took the deceased to the ESI Hospital, Parwanoo, where doctors declared him brought dead.

The postmortem of the deceased was being done and inquest proceedings were underway, said the SP.
