In a significant step towards holistic education, 48 teachers from 31 schools of Tissa block have successfully completed a three-day life skills education training programme at Government Degree College, Tissa. Through interactive and activity-based sessions, students will be nurtured in 11 key areas: problem solving, decision making, self-management, creativity, empathy, self-awareness, adaptability, communication, cooperation, negotiation and confident self-expression. These skills are expected to enhance their emotional intelligence, critical thinking and readiness to become responsible citizens.

The training sessions were facilitated by experts from Magic Bus India Foundation, who guided teachers on curriculum design, participatory teaching methods and effective tools for student assessment. Senior education officials visited the training to encourage participants and emphasise the importance of life skills for children’s all-round development.
