5.9L voters registered in Shimla dist

District Election Officer and Deputy Commissioner, Shimla, Anupam Kashyap, said the work of revision of photo voter lists for all the eight Assembly segments in Shimla district have been completed on the basis of the eligibility date of January 1, 2025. The Photo Voter List-2025 has been published in final form on January 6, 2025.

Kashyap said that at the time of publication of the draft, a total of 5,95,918 voters’ names were registered in the district voter list. During the revision, 7,765 new voters have been registered and 4,852 voter names have been deleted from the voter lists due to death, change of place, double registration etc. Thus, there has been an increase of 2,913 voters in the voter list-2025.

A total of 5,98,831 voters are registered in the district, out of which 3,04,942 are men and 2,93,889 are women. The District Election Officer informed that the Assembly constituency wise details of the voters of Shimla district are as follows – Chopal (83,967), Theog (87,899), Kasumpti (68,788), Shimla (47,851), Shimla Rural (80,312), Jubbal Kotkhai (74,234), Rampur (78,579) and Rohru (77,201). The final published photo voter list can be inspected free of cost in the office of the concerned Electoral Registration Officer (SDM), Assistant Electoral Registration Officer (Tehsildar/ Naib Tehsildar) or from the list available with the Booth Level Officer.
