In a minor reshuffle, the government today shifted five IPS officers — two officers of the ADGP rank and three officers of the IG rank.

SB Negi, Additional Director General Police (ADGP), law and order, has been posted as ADGP and Commandant General, Home Guards, Civil Defence and Fire Services, while Venugopal, ADGP Armed Police and Training (AP&T), will hold additional charge of the ADGP, law and order.

Himanshu Mishra, Inspector General (AP&T) has been posted as IG (Southern Range) in place of IG Asif Jalal, who goes as IG (State Vigilance and Anti-Ccorruption Bureau) replacing JP Singh who has been posted as IG (AP&T).

The police also shifted Ramesh Chand Chhajta, SP, police training college (PTC), Daroh in Kangra, as Commandant, 4th Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB), Daroh, Jungleberi in Hamirpur, and posted Virender Singh Thakur SP, SDRF Junga (Shimla), as SP (PTC), Daroh.
