Eight persons tested positive for coronavirus in the district in the last two days. They included two primary contacts of Vijay Agnihotri, former MLA from Nadaun constituency and vice-chairman of the HRTC. The Health Department has shifted all these patients to the Dedicated Covid Care Centre at the National Institute of Technology (NIT) here.

Six persons who tested positive on Sunday include a 26-year-old man of Beri village and a 29-year-old woman of Ropari village who had returned from Vishakhapatnam on July 26, a 38-year-old man from Sahadwin and 40-year-old man of Jhareri (both primary contacts of a person who earlier tested positive), a 35-year-old woman from Sujanpur and a 30-year-old man who returned from Leh on July 21.

Chief Medical Officer Archana Soni said a 39-year-old person of Dalalar village was cured and sent home. The district had 315 cases of coronavirus, 285 had recovered, three had died and only 27 were active, she added.
