87 Him Academy students get laptops

As many as 87 students of Him Academy Public School at Hira Nagar here were given laptops under the Srinivasan Ramanujan Students Digital Yojana of the government. These students were of 2018-19 and 2019-20 sessions.

CP Lakhanpal, Director of the school, congratulated the students and the teachers on this achievement. She said that the school students had set various records in academic excellence.

It was due to the sincere efforts of the teachers and the students that the institute had got this honour. The laptops were awarded to the students of Class X and XII, she added.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
