As many as 916 Covid cases were reported in the state today, taking the tally to 296,590. Besides one person died of the virus in Chamba district. The number of active cases rose to 4,914.

The highest number of 259 cases was recorded in Kangra, followed by 160 in Shimla, 153 in Mandi, 66 in Hamirpur, 59 in Bilaspur, 53 in Kullu, 42 in Solan, 37 in Una, 40 in Chamba, 25 in Sirmaur, 14 in Kinnaur and eight in Lahaul and Spiti. — TNS
