The Jawali police have recovered a minor girl (15), hailing from village near Nurpur, from Delhi where she had been staying with her abductor for the past few days.

A police team, led by sub-inspector Gurdev Singh, returned this morning to Jawali police station, along with the girl and the accused, identified as Janak Raj (27), of Jammu and Kashmir.

The police said they became friends on the Facebook. On July 14, the girl, who had left her home to visit her aunt at Gangath, reportedly eloped with the accused, who promised to marry her. The police had registered an FIR under Sections 363 and 366 of the IPC against the accused on July 16.
