The District-level Mini Under-11 and Sub-Junior Under-13 Badminton Championships concluded at the Dharamsala Indoor Stadium on Saturday, celebrating the talent and promise of Kangra’s youngest badminton stars. The event witnessed remarkable performances from Rajveer, Tanmay, Aaradhya and Rawaya, who emerged as standout players in the singles categories.

Organised by the District Kangra Badminton Association, the tournament saw spirited participation from budding athletes across the district. The closing ceremony was graced by Dr Ashish Garg, Managing Director of City Superspecialist Hospital, Kangra, who presented prizes to the winners and runners-up and motivated them to strive for excellence at the state level. Association members Sunil Manocha, Vishal Mishra, Sandeep Dhingra, Vikram Chaudhary, Pradeep Chadha, Gaurav Chadha, Vikas Sood and Pawan Chaudhary were also present.

In the singles events, Rajveer Singh and Nirosha Rawat triumphed in the Under-11 boys’ and girls’ categories respectively, while Rajveer Rana and Aaradhya clinched titles in the Under-13 divisions. The doubles titles went to Rajveer Singh-Adarsh and Nirosha Rawat-Hajal Bhatia in Under-11 and Rajveer Rana-Tanmay Arya and Aaradhya-Rawaya Dhiman in Under-13.

The top four players in singles and the winners and runners-up in doubles will now represent Kangra district at the upcoming State-Level Badminton Championships in Shimla, scheduled from October 12 to 14.
