A review meeting on the progress of disaster relief and ongoing development works was held yesterday at the Thunag Mini-Secretariat of the Seraj Assembly constituency in Mandi district under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner Gursimar Singh.

During the meeting, the ADC sought detailed updates from all administrative and departmental officials regarding disaster relief measures, time-bound reconstruction efforts and various development projects underway in the region. He instructed the departments to prioritise and expedite all pending tasks related to public welfare to ensure citizens received the benefits of government schemes and essential services without delay.

Emphasising efficient governance, Gursimar directed officials to maintain strong inter-departmental coordination and ensure continuous monitoring of all ongoing projects. He highlighted the importance of timely execution to restore normalcy in the areas affected by natural calamities and to advance developmental initiatives.

The meeting was attended by Thunag Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) Ramesh Kumar, Tehsildar Jitender Singh, Executive Engineer (Electricity Board) Sumit Chauhan, Executive Engineer (Jal Shakti Division) Sandeep Kumar, Assistant Engineer (PWD Janjehli) Bunty Kumar, Block Development Officer (Seraj), and officials from various other departments.

The meeting underscored the administration’s commitment to accelerating rehabilitation and development efforts for the benefit of the local population.
