The University Institute of Legal Studies (UILS), Himachal Pradesh University, is accepting online applications for its 5-year BA LLB (Honours) programme for 2025-26 until May 31.

Candidates can correct applications by June 3. Admission is based on 10 2 merit, with minimum marks of 50% for general and 45% for SC/ST.

Applicants must have passed or be appearing in 10 2 exams. Counseling is on June 12 at Ava-Lodge Campus, Shimla; the merit list will be out on June 19. Apply via www.nadmissions. hpushimla.in or call 0177-2651586 for details.

The Tribune, now published from Chandigarh, started publication on February 2, 1881, in Lahore (now in Pakistan). It was started by Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, a public-spirited philanthropist, and is run by a trust comprising five eminent persons as trustees.

The Tribune, the largest selling English daily in North India, publishes news and views without any bias or prejudice of any kind. Restraint and moderation, rather than agitational language and partisanship, are the hallmarks of the newspaper. It is an independent newspaper in the real sense of the term.

The Tribune has two sister publications, Punjabi Tribune (in Punjabi) and Dainik Tribune (in Hindi).
