A hotelier of Manali said, “Mild snowfall occurred near the Atal Tunnel and its nearby places on Friday, which gave a ray of hope for us that it would attract tourists to Kullu-Manali in the coming days.”

He said tourists who were on vacation here in Manali on Saturday rushed towards the Atal tunnel and Sissu beyond Manali to enjoy the snow activities. The tunnel and its nearby places are draped in white since yesterday.

Anup Thakur, president of Kullu-Manali Paryatan Vikas Mandal, said, “With the advent of snow in the Manali region, it is expected that in the coming days, the tourist footfall will increase to Kullu-Manali. The room occupancy in hotels of Manali is below 40 per cent these days.” He said the Manali Mall Road had been abuzz with tourists for the last two days.
