Agnihotri inspects ongoing works, directs officials to ensure quality construction

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri today reviewed the progress of various works in Haroli Assembly segment. He also inspected some ongoing works and directed officials to ensure good quality construction. He told them to complete the works in time so that the people benefit from the infrastructure at the earliest.

The Dy CM said 15 new tubewells were being drilled in Haroli segment to augment drinking water supply and improve irrigation facilities. This, he said will ease the problem of drinking water which prevails in some remote pockets of the segment.

Agnihotri said a mega water storage tank with a capacity of 25 lakh litres is being completed at Dulehar village. The tank, along with its 14-km-long distribution network and pumping machinery, is being constructed at a cost of Rs 43 crore. This will solve the problem of drinking water for many years to come.

The Dy CM informed that work on the construction of a water storage tank with 50 lakh litre capacity at Polian village is complete. Once commissioned, it will be the biggest water storage tank in use in the state, mitigating the drinking water issues of the locals for decades to come.

Agnihotri also reviewed the work of beautification of a water body in Pubowal village where, he said, the project will preserve nature and aid modern development. He said the area of the water body has been expanded to allow rain water harvesting and its seepage into the ground aquifer. It will also serve as a spot for tourist attraction.

Takes stock of Haroli driving training track

Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri yesterday inspected driving training track and traffic park in Rora village of Haroli sub division. The facility is being constructed at a cost of Rs 6.5 crore.

The park is the first of its kind in the state and is equipped with electronic sensor technology. The park will be helpful in testing driver’s skills for issuing driving licenses, passing of vehicles, road safety trainings and creating public awareness on road safety. The traffic park will have automated systems to provide training to drivers on international levels of driving.

Agnihotri directed the construction agency to ensure that the work is completed as per global standards.

He said after the facility is commissioned, it will ensure that the driver’s licensing process is transparent and quick. Besides, the vehicle fitness tests will also be conducted in detail.
