Weightlifters Kartik Parashar and Diwansh Thakur of Chaudhary Sarwan Kumar Himachal Pradesh Agricultural University (CSKHPAU) have brought laurels to the institution with their exceptional performances. The duo met the Vice-Chancellor, Prof Naveen Kumar, along with Student Welfare Officer Dr Ashok Kumar Panda and Dr Farhan Bhatt, to share their achievements.

Dr Panda praised the young athletes for their success, noting that both were selected for the North Zone Weightlifting competition. The event, held at Lovely Professional University in Jalandhar, saw impressive results from both players. Diwansh Thakur secured third place in the 73 kg weight category, while Kartik Parashar’s performance earned him a spot at the national level.

Kartik Parashar went on to compete at the national level, where he secured the 12th position. A total of five students from the university participated in the competition.
