The government on Thursday appointed Ajay Srivastava, a 1988-batch IFS officer, as the head of the Forest Force.

Srivastava had been officiating as the head of the Forest Force after the retirement of Dr Savita last year. He had been posted as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Chief Wildlife Warden.

The government also appointed Rajiv Kumar, 1988-batch IFS officer, posted as the MD of the HP State Forest Development Corporation as the Principal Chief Conservator of Forest and Chief Wildlife Warden.—
