DAV Public School, Palampur, recently organised at the school the annual function-cum-prize distribution ceremony of the senior wing.

The programme was conducted under the guidance of principal VK Yadav.

Kangra Superintendent of Police Shalini Agnihotri, as the chief guest at the event, honoured meritorious students (session 2023-2024), awarding them mementos and encouraging them to do their best in life.

She appreciated the talent and confidence of the school students. In her address, she appreciated the leadership of the principal, and wished for the progress of the school.

She exhorted parents to encourage children to live a good life and be support, guide them in difficult times.

The programme started with the welcome of the chief guest and lighting of the ceremonial lamp.

Thereafter, the principal presented the annual report, in which the achievements of the school in academic and co-curricular activities were highlighted.

More than 300 students of the senior wing of the school took part in the event.

The students showcased vibrant programmes based on Haryanvi and Rajasthani dances, garba and natti. The English play and the Bollywood mash-up performance were much-loved by the audience. A heart-touching dance highlighting the plight of Indian farmers and based on the theme of the Swachhata Abhiyan was also presented.

A Punjabi bhangra performance marked the end of the event. The parents greatly enjoyed the performances showcased by the students.
