APG Shimla University signs MoU to boost legal education

In a significant step towards promoting legal education and competitive learning, APG Shimla University has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Legal Olympiad Pvt Ltd here today.

The collaboration aims to facilitate student participation in the upcoming External Law Olympiad Examination and other academic initiatives.

As per the agreement, Legal Olympiad will manage the official exam platform, evaluation, certification and national rankings, while the university will support student outreach, registration, logistics for offline or hybrid examinations and mentoring sessions. The MoU also specifies that all exam content will remain the intellectual property of Legal Olympiad, with strict confidentiality maintained regarding student data and exam material.

The one-year MoU, which can be renewed with mutual consent, was signed by Vineet Sharma, Founder of Legal Olympiad Pvt Ltd, and Dr RL Sharma, Registrar of APG Shimla University, along with Vice-Chancellor Rajinder Chauhan, Dean Academics Anand Mohan and Dean Student Welfare Dr Neelam Sharma.

“This partnership is expected to strengthen competitive legal education in India and provide students with a national platform to enhance their legal knowledge and skills,” said Vice-Chancellor Chauhan.
