The delegation was led by Dr Bhawna Verma, Head of the School of Legal Studies and Sonakshi, faculty of law. Students attended live court proceedings and observed various aspects of courtroom practice, including the presentation of cases, arguments by advocates and the conduct of judges during hearings. The experience offered valuable insight into the practical application of legal principles.

During the visit, the students interacted with the Advocate General of Himachal Pradesh, Anoop Rattan, who shared his professional experiences and views on the role of young lawyers in strengthening the justice delivery system. He emphasised the importance of integrity, discipline and lifelong learning in the legal profession and urged students to contribute to society through the rule of law.

Dr Verma said such visits are vital to bridging the gap between theoretical learning and practical experience. “The School of Legal Studies at APG Shimla University consistently organises educational tours, workshops and expert interactions to promote holistic legal education and prepare students for diverse roles in the legal and judicial sectors,” she added.
