APG varsity signs pact with Solan college

In a significant step towards strengthening higher education in the state, APG Shimla University today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Government College, Solan, to foster academic collaboration and enhance the quality of education across various disciplines.

The MoU focuses on mutual cooperation in the fields of Social Sciences, Basic Sciences, Commerce, Journalism, Performing Arts and professional programmes such as BBA, BCA, Forensic Science, and PGDCA, at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels.

Under the agreement, both institutions will collaborate on student internships and training programmes, faculty exchange and visiting scholar initiatives, joint organisation of seminars, workshops and conferences and collaborative academic writing and research projects.

The MoU was formally signed in the presence of government college principal Manisha Kohli, registrar RL Sharma and dean of academics Anand Mohan from APG Shimla University.

Speaking on the occasion, Manisha Kohli stated, “This collaboration will open new avenues for our students and faculty by integrating practical exposure, industry interaction and joint research opportunities into our academic framework.”

RL Sharma said, “The MoU aligns with our vision of interdisciplinary learning and will provide students with broader academic and professional prospects.”
