The District Controller of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Shravan Kumar, has announced that applications for fair price shops under the Targeted Public Distribution System are open until December 28. These shops will be allocated in areas such as Kuftadhar, Krishnanagar, Housing Board Colony, Kamla Nehru Hospital in Shimla, and villages in Rampur, Nankhari, Chopal and Mashobra subdivisions.

Interested individuals, gram panchayats, institutions, or cooperative societies can apply online at emerginghimachal.hp.gov.in/sso/investor/register. Applicants must have a minimum qualification of matriculation and attach relevant certificates, including an unemployment certificate verified by the concerned Tehsildar, if applicable. Additional documents such as SC/ST, BPL/Antyodaya certificates, or institutional registration certificates are required depending on the applicant’s category.

The applicant must be a resident of the ward for which they are applying, with proof issued by the Principal Secretary of the Gram Panchayat or Councillor of the Municipal Corporation.
