APS celebrates Founder’s Day

Army Public School (APS), Dagshai, marked its 39th Founder’s Day with great fervour and pride, commemorated by an inspiring investiture ceremony that celebrated leadership, achievement and excellence.

Brigadier Puneet Sharma, Commandant 14 GTC and Chairman APS-Dagshai, presided over the ceremony and led the pipping event, conferring badges of responsibility upon 49 newly appointed student leaders for the 2025–26 session. Among them, Master Prabhav Dyal Madaik (Class XII Science) was named School Captain Boys’, while Miss Tvisha Dave (Class XII Science) took on the role of School Captain Girls’. Kanishk Sharma (Class XII Commerce) and Samriddhi Yadav (Class XII Humanities) were declared sports captains for boys’ and girls’, respectively.

The event came alive with a vibrant dance performance and a musical display, highlighting the school’s artistic talent and cultural spirit.

Founder’s Day also included the annual prize distribution ceremony, where guest of honour Jyotika Sharma felicitated outstanding students and houses. Indira House lifted the Swachhta Trophy, while Patel House earned both the Discipline Trophy and the Co-curricular Activities Trophy. Nehru House won the English Calligraphy Trophy, and Patel House also took home the Hindi Calligraphy Trophy.

A special highlight was the appreciation awards sponsored by Extramarks, presented to Vanshika Thakur (Class XII) and Shreshth Singhal (Class XA), who each received an iPad and a medal for their exceptional achievements.

Winners of the District Level Shooting Competition were also honoured: gold medals: Shrawani (Class XI Humanities) and Padma Saldon (Class IX); silver medals: Kesang (Class IXB) and Mahi Bhardwaj (Class IXA).
