Arki MLA interacts with kids at Manju school prize distribution
Addressing staff and students during the annual prize distribution event at the Government Senior Secondary School, Manju, in Arki recently, local MLA Sanjay Awasthi said the state government was working to provide better learning environment and quality infrastructure to students near their homes.
Awasthi earlier laid the foundation stone of the Manju Primary Health Centre.
An amount of Rs 95.09 lakh has been received in the first phase for the construction of the PHC. The health centre is set to benefit residents of Palog, Khanlag and Rohanj Jalana gram panchayats.
He also inaugurated the building of the Common Service Centre at Palog, constructed at a cost of Rs 5 lakh.
Awasthi said while the state government was moving towards setting up a Rajiv Gandhi Day-Boarding School in every Assembly constituency, teaching in the English medium had also been initiated in government schools from the Class I.
He said the issue of the appointment of a commerce teacher at Government Senior Secondary School, Manju, would be raised before the Chief Minister and the Education Minister.
He announced that he would give Rs 50,000 to the students presenting cultural programmes, and another Rs 25,000 for the purchase of musical instruments.
He announced to give Rs 2 lakh for the construction of a meeting hall at the Palog Panchayat Bhawan.
He assured that he would provide funds for construction of swings, benches, etc at the Panchvati Park at Manju.
He announced that Rs 1 lakh would be given to the Manju school for a Kabaddi mat.
At the event, he awarded the meritorious students.
On this occasion, Principal Pawan Kumar presented the annual progress report of the school.
The MLA expressed his gratitude to Pushpa Devi, who donated one bigha land for the construction of Primary Health Centre, Palog.
He said the pending construction work of the Rahu-Jawda link road would be completed soon so that people could get road facilities.
