Accusing the state government of not fulfilling its promises, the Karunamulak Employees Association has threatened to intensity their movement if their demands are not fulfilled in coming days.
The association has been demanding jobs in the government sector to the dependents of deceased government employees on compassionate grounds.

Addressing the media here today, association vice president Bobby Shurta said during the 2022 Assembly elections, the Congress had promised to fullfil our demands on coming to power. More than two years have passed but the government is yet to keep its word, he added.
He claimed that during the polls Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri had assured that a permanent policy would be made for Karunamulak appointments. “Our demands were also ignored by the previous BJP government. We even went on a hunger strike for 432 days, but to no avail,” he added.
